A costume department does not need the cheapest cleaner. It needs the one that answers the phone at 6pm and hands back a pressed rack at 7am, without shrinking the hero jacket or losing one of three identical shirts.
That is the job we are set up for. Overnight turnaround as the default, careful handling on leather, suede, beading and period fabrics, and multiples tracked as a set so continuity stays intact. Alterations on site when a piece needs to fit a different body by Monday.
Geography matters here too. Our Flakes Mill Road shop is a short run from the stage complex on Constitution Road in south-east Atlanta, and McDonough picks up productions working south along I-75. Most of the metro’s wardrobe work drives north; there is very little serving this side.

How fast can you turn wardrobe around?
Same-day express is available at both shops for a premium over standard pricing — in by 9am. Overnight and 24-hour turnaround is standard for production accounts.
Do you handle specialty pieces?
Yes — leather, suede, beaded and sequinned pieces, gowns, period costume and uniforms. We clean and press; we do not do aging, breakdown or dye work.
Can you keep multiples together?
Yes. Doubles and triples of the same look are tagged, tracked and returned as a set so continuity does not get broken at the cleaner.
Where are you relative to the studios?
The Decatur shop on Flakes Mill Road is roughly seven miles from the Constitution Road stage complex in south-east Atlanta — the closest full-service cleaner of its kind to that side of town. McDonough covers productions shooting south along I-75.
Who do we set the account up with?
Call either shop and ask for a production account. We will take the costume supervisor’s details and set up net-15 billing to the production company.
